Datagroup has signed the partnership agreement on licensing program, the Service Provider License Agreement (SPLA), with Microsoft thereby expanding the scope of its services.
This new format of cooperation enables the provider to grant its customers, companies of various sizes and activity areas, access to the most common licensed software of Microsoft on the basis of monthly payments: in this case an end-user does not acquire Microsoft software as his property but gets it from Datagroup as a service. The key advantage of the transition to the Pay-as-You-Go software use model is that it requires no substantial capital expenditures to purchase licenses and optimize the activity of the organization, eliminating non-core activities. Moreover, the customer company pays only for the software that was actually used during the reporting period and can scale the service easily and quickly.
Datagroup has already engaged first customers in this area of activity. After the service trial, the customers explain the choice by economic feasibility and convenience for business: capital expenditures become operating costs; the software may be used for a required period; the service scope may be changed at any time and it may be paid for upon the usage; there are no unforeseen costs arising from the unpredictable revision of prices for software. Another advantage of cooperation with the Ukrainian telecommunications company is that the services are paid for in the national currency.
