Datagroup became the official sponsor of the All-Ukrainian Hackathon of Agricultural Innovation, which was held in Kiev on February 19-21, 2016.
Hackathons are IT-developer forums, during which experts from different fields (programmers, designers, managers) work together to resolve any problem.
The Hackathon was dedicated to technological innovations in the agricultural sector. The purpose of the event was to identify the problems of agrarians, which could be solved with the help of up-to-date technologies, find or create new IT-projects in order to address them, show the capabilites of modern hardware and software technologies to agrarians, interest engineers and IT-specialists in the development of products for their application in the agriculture.
During the Hackaton, IT representatives developed and presented projects in the fields of business analytics of agricultural enterprise needs, boosting production efficiency, provision of convenient and timely information for decision-making procedures and process optimization.
Datagroup supports the incentive to acquire new knowledge, and invests in capabilities of creating interesting startups that are focused on the agricultural sector, opening up new opportunities for IT-specialists, who believe in agriculture and see the possibility of using high technologies for its development. GIS, ERP, Big Data, Telemetry, machine learning, mobile applications comprise only a part of the areas, where IT can and should optimize performance in the agricultural sector.
