The Association of consolidated territorial communities and the Datagroup has summed up the results of the “Marathon: energy-efficient and safe community” project on 27-th of November in the office of “Ukrinform” information agency.
“Main conclusion of the project is that territorial communities of small cities of Ukraine are now ready to innovate in the fields of medicine, education and security. In 2017-2018, "Electronic-patient” and “Safe region" pilot projects were implemented with the support of the Datagroup in the city of Hadiach and in Hadiach district, Poltava region. Merefa in Kharkiv region can become the next city to implement the initiative. We assume that a couple of similar projects can be implemented in 2019», – commented Nikolay Gromov, the head of the Vinnytsia unit of Datagroup.
During the implementation of the “Marathon: energy-efficient and safe community” project in August-November 2018 four seminars were held in different consolidated territorial communities: Piryatinsky, Novomorsk, Bashtansky, Hlyboka. All the seminars were attended by representatives of more than 60 communities from across the country, experts from international organizations, representatives of government agencies and businesses that have supported this marathon.
As part of the marathon the "Safe community" contest was held and Datagroup has gladly supported it. The competition was aimed at supporting and creating the conditions for a comfortable and safe environment, prevent crime and increase the level of attractiveness of living in the community. Community representatives spoke about their needs and said that they want to build a surveillance system and implementation of “Safe city” comprehensive solutions. 20 consolidated territorial communities took part in this contest and the winners were determined among them.
There also was a creative competition among the young residents of communities. Children painted their vision of “My safe community” and sent 75 works. Two of the consolidated territorial communities: Klesivs'ka and Serhiivs'ka took the first place. Their pictures received the most “likes”. Little winners have received acessories for drawing to support their talent.
“Thanks to the cooperation with the Association we were able to communicate with the community representatives and hear their requests for the implementation of technologies in their cities and towns. They are really ready to work in this direction, moreover – some communities already have an experience in this area and want to improve it», – commented Nikolay Gromov, the head of the Vinnytsia unit of Datagroup.
“We are very grateful for the support in the organization and implementation of the project to our partners in Datagroup. Representatives of our communities had the opportunity to interact with professionals in the field of security and telecommunications, to obtain interesting experience and technical tools to improve safety in their communities. We hope for further fruitful cooperation in the next year to continue the introduction of new technologies in the lives of consolidated territorial communities», – said Valentina Poltavets, the Executive Director of the Association of consolidated territorial communities.
We remind that the cooperation of the Association and Datagroup has began in the summer of 2018.
