The Datagroup team won the award for the best project in the field of backbone networks and transport services at the first All-Ukrainian awarding ceremony for telecom and media industries companies, called Telecom AWARDS 2016 on September 10. The award was part of the annual All-Ukrainian Telecom Ukraine conference, which was held from September 8 to 12.
The head of Network Planning Service Alexander Khlebnikov represented Datagroup and presented the REAL - RapidEurope – AsiaLink project. Our colleagues implemented a complex and unique project of the shortest connection between Frankfurt and Hong Kong and received an award due to their hard work and professionalism. The importance of this project lies in the fact that they it can be actively used by the major Chinese telecommunications companies in the future.
The REAL is a backbone network between China and Western Europe. The REAL international route was formed by Datagroup in cooperation with its partners, namely Kazakhtelecom and Quantum Telecom in 2014. The REAL can be called the "New Silk Road" from China to Europe. The company’s purpose of its development is to increase the share of the terrestrial data transit between Asia and Europe.
Telecom Ukraine is a major large scale event for the Ukrainian market of telecommunications, media and content that unites professional associations, non-governmental organizations, industry enterprises, international manufacturers and suppliers of modern telecommunications equipment, and other members who are interested in the development of the national industry.
